Surgical Repair of Achilles Tendon Rupture

SPEEDBRIDGE technique for Achilles tendon rupture.

Achilles tendon ruptures are a common sports injury that can have serious consequences if not diagnosed correctly and on time. Subtotal or complete ruptures may require surgical treatment. We present some of our surgeries performed at IMATDE ARTHROSPORT in Malaga, using a system of instrumentation that allows to considerably reduce the size of the incisions, while allowing the anchoring and reinforcement of the tendon at a distance, passing the suture threads percutaneously. This type of surgery offers a very safe and resistant suture, which allows a very early mobilization and physiotherapy. In ARTHROSPORT we have surgical units specialized in the treatment of acute and chronic injuries of muscles and tendons.
